Have you ever thought about what you would do to look after your family’s health in a long term emergency? Or if you couldn’t get to a doctor or hospital? Or maybe you just want to be able to look after minor injuries on your own? There is a way, and it’s easier than you might think.
Back in the mid-to-late 1990s I discovered an incredible tool to help keep my family healthy without going to the doctor at every sniffle and sneeze – that tool was essential oils. Essential oils are complex and powerful aromatic liquids derived from shrubs, flowers, trees, roots, bushes, and seeds. These distinctive components defend plants from insects, harsh environmental conditions, and disease. They are also vital for a plant to grow, live, evolve, and adapt to its surroundings. Referred to as the essence of the plant, pure essential oils not only protect the plant, but also determine its aroma.
Essential oils have been used throughout much of recorded history, dating back to 4500 BC. From perfumes and aromatherapy to cooking and medicinal purposes, essential oils have been used in everyday life for centuries. In modern days, research shows that pure essential oils can provide similar benefits to humans and animals that they give to plants.
Over the next few months, I’ll be conducting tests and reviews on a variety of essential oils for a whole bunch of health issues – from cuts and scrapes to coughs and colds (and everything in between). It’s my goal to provide you with a dependable resource for essential oils for emergency and day-to-day health care, and to that aim, we’ll be putting a variety of essential oils to the test.
I invite you to join us as we explore the intriguing world of essential oils and how having just a few on hand can make a huge difference in your home healthcare goals.
I look forward to connecting with you!
